This project involved the supply and trial‑run of a 20 m³/h Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) water treatment system tailored for a plastic recycling plant in Washington, USA. The system treats wastewater streams from plastic washing and processing, providing a reliable solution for removing suspended solids, oils, and other contaminants before reuse or discharge.
The DAF unit operates by dissolving compressed air into wastewater. As the pressurized water returns to atmospheric pressure, micro‑bubbles form and attach to pollutants, causing them to float to the surface, where they are mechanically removed, resulting in clear water suitable for recycling within the plant.
