Wastewater clarification and water reuse for agricultural plastic film recycling facility
System Overview:
This project involved the supply and commissioning of a 15 m³/h Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) water treatment system for a plastic agricultural film recycling plant in Alberta, Canada. The system treats wash water generated during plastic film cleaning, removing suspended solids, adhesive residues, and fine contaminants, and producing clarified water for reuse in the plant.
The DAF system works by dissolving compressed air into wastewater and releasing it in the flotation tank. Micro‑bubbles attach to contaminants, making them float to the surface for mechanical removal, resulting in clean water suitable for recycling within the process.

Summary:
The 15 m³/h DAF system delivered to the County of Wheatland plastic film recycling plant demonstrates an effective, sustainable wastewater treatment solution, optimized for agricultural plastic film recycling operations, supporting both water reuse and operational efficiency.
